Purpose of Job:

To coordinate critical sales Operational activities in order to achieve sales target at minimal cost.

Nature & Scope of Position

The position of Sales Operations Manager is located at the head office and reports to the NSM along with six Regional Sales Managers


Key Responsibility:

  1. Identify, build, develop and maintain customer relationships with key accounts or channels.
  2. Direct calls on customers to sell in initiatives such as new brands and packages and marketing promotions.
  3. Resolve customer concerns and issues.
  4. Build and execute sales forecasting and ensure proper execution of pricing, promotional programs and Customer Agreements (CA) or channel pricing.
  5. Ensure in-outlet standards are executed per channel direction
  6. Develop and implement sales incentive promotions.
  7. Execute creative marketing promotions.
  8. Obtain authorization from customer to sell and deliver
  9. Develop and deliver sales presentations.
  10. Communicate market conditions with internal sales force

Qualification & Experience

  1. Minimum of 5 years sales experience
  2. HND/BSC degree in any discipline
  3. Budget Management Experience
  4. Experienced in Translating Strategy to into Action

Skill Requirements

  1. Experienced Negotiator
  2. Excellent interpersonal, persuasive and communication skills
  3. Experienced in Business Insight, Good planning and organizing skills
  4. Skilled in developing and deploying Joint Business Plan
  5. Excellent customer management and problem-solving skills
  6. Good Microsoft Office Skills


Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Ensure achievement of sales target both in volume and value
  2. Analyze Sales trend and use it to drive stock allocation and guide the sales team on sales opportunities in their region/Area/Territory
  3. Ensure a zero stock out situation pan Nigeria
  4. Regular visits to all locations to ensure proper execution of all sales activities.
  5. Manage, motivate and train sales force in order to increase their ability and efficiency in carrying out their duties.
  6. Ensure the provision of adequate tools for the field force e.g. vehicles and promotional materials e.g. Biros, T-shirts, buntings e.t.c
  7. Ensure the implementation of the Route to Market design
  8. Ensure that the sales force and trade are adequately motivated
  9. Coordinate the Sales Force Automation Process and ensure accurate reporting flow
  10. Ensure effective implementation and coordination of agreed sales processes.
